Work Location:
This position is based in Quebec City for the Tramway project – Early Works
Responsabilities :
- Create timely, informative, and engaging content to raise awareness and support construction projects.
- Build trust, understanding, and credibility with key stakeholders, residents, community groups, and the public by supporting integrated and proactive community engagement and communication approaches, as well as stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Measure the quality, performance, and results of strategic communication objectives through the development, implementation, and dissemination of associated metrics and reports; track and report on progress to internal and external audiences.
- Maintain a public communication/contact/request database to record requests, actions, and outcomes.
- Utilize multimedia and digital techniques and content to support project information and related materials, including brochures, fact sheets, leaflets, documents, and presentations.
- Write and publish articles to support communication initiatives related to projects, the district, the company, and employee communications.
- Collaborate with other professionals to create an integrated and effective communications and stakeholder engagement team.
Qualifications:
- Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, political science, public administration, or a related field.
- Progressive experience of at least 3 to 5 years in communications, customer service, or community engagement in the public or private sector, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Project management experience to lead, manage, and track multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and monitor project performance.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; political acumen; initiative; tact; and diplomacy.
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to build consensus or influence decisions.
- Ability to work in high-intensity and demanding environments, with a proven track record of successfully meeting project deadlines and expectations, and demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, written, presentation, and listening skills to develop and implement communication plans and materials and address community and stakeholder concerns.
- Strong work ethic that reflects positively on the company and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Prior experience with large-scale infrastructure projects will be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in modern communication techniques, multimedia, and software applications (e.g., desktop publishing, word processing, website creation).
- Bilingual in French (spoken and written).
