Easter Seals Nova Scotia is seeking a high-energy, organized, and creative Special Events Coordinator to help plan, execute, and grow exciting fundraising events like Drop Zone and Kartbahn and other community and national events that support Nova Scotians living with disabilities.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building relationships, and wants their work to make a real difference.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the coordination and execution of signature fundraising events, including Drop Zone
• Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, logistics, and supplier relationships
• Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers and committees
• Secure in-kind donations and sponsorships in collaboration with the Development team
• Assist in creating event promotional materials, social media content, and email campaigns
• Track RSVPs, donations, and participant communications
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth event delivery
• Attend community events and represent Easter Seals NS with enthusiasm and professionalism

What You Bring:

• Event planning and execution experience (2+ years preferred)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication (written
• verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Comfort working with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and participants
• Ability to manage stress and problem-solve under pressure
• A passion for inclusive community work and advocacy for people with disabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, donor databases, or Mailchimp is a plus
• Valid driver's license and occasional evening/weekend availability (with lieu time provided)
