About the Position: The Account Manager is responsible for executing the strategies required to drive profitable growth for Univar Solutions. This role involves promoting our products, building and maintaining long‑term customer relationships through in‑person meetings, developing new opportunities within the existing customer base, and actively identifying new sales prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with customers in the mining sector and identify new opportunities.
  • Grow Univar Solutions’ presence by prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Understand the technical and regulatory factors influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate prospecting activities, service delivery, and follow‑ups with internal teams.
  • Participate in industry events to strengthen the company’s visibility.
  • Conduct customer visits, negotiate contracts, and close profitable agreements.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for account management.
  • Represent Univar Solutions professionally.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date opportunity pipeline and customer information in Salesforce.
  • Meet weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Present customer demand forecasts to product managers.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and stay informed about portfolio changes.
  • Remain aware of evolving market conditions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What You’ll Need:

  • A university degree and a minimum of two (2) years of proven experience as an Account Manager.
  • Industrial sales experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ability to present to and influence key partners.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Salesforce.com is considered an asset.
  • Must be bilingual (French–English).
