At Keter, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Global Home Division. Based in Rijen, the Netherlands, this full-time position combines strategic business development, key account management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive growth across Europe. We offer a hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days per week in our Rijen office, enabling close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders while maintaining flexibility.

As the commercial engine of the Global Home Division, you will play a key role in identifying and winning new business. Together with the the Head of Global Home Division, you will be working closely with the Sales Directors and Key Account Managers from the Central Europe region comprising Benelux, DACH, France, Iberia, and Italy markets. You will identify new commercial opportunities, support product launches, enhance relationships with strategic customers, and expand distribution across all relevant channels (DIY, mass market, specialist retail, e?commerce).

Your Responsibilities

Business Development & New Business

  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified new accounts and channel opportunities.
  • Lead customer pitches, commercial presentations, line reviews, and RFP responses.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new customers, markets, and product launches.
  • Drive profitable growth and expand Keter's presence across Europe.

Account Management

  • Co-own commercial relationships with strategic retail accounts across Europe.
  • Negotiate annual trading agreements, promotional activities, and commercial terms.
  • Drive sell-in and sell-through performance while identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Support the management and development of key strategic accounts.
  • Act as an escalation point for assigned customers together with local Key Account Managers.

Category & Sales Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Category Manager to translate category strategies into compelling customer propositions.
  • Work with Sales teams to develop Joint Business Plans and ensure effective market execution.
  • Share market insights and commercial intelligence to support product development and pricing decisions.
  • Contribute to new product launches and stage-gate reviews from a commercial perspective.

Commercial Planning & Reporting

  • Own revenue forecasting for your customer portfolio.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Monitor sales, distribution, market share, and performance metrics.
  • Identify commercial risks and proactively develop mitigation plans.
  • Drive data-based decision-making and business growth.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity, consumer trends, and market developments.
  • Provide structured market feedback to Category Management and Product Development teams.
  • Represent Keter at trade shows, customer events, and industry exhibitions.
  • Help shape future growth opportunities within the Home Division.

What You'll Bring

Who are you?

You bring strong commercial skills, sharp analytical capabilities and the ability to translate opportunities into concrete, measurable actions. Through your experience in business development, product launches and working within an international matrix organization, you can move effectively between strategy and execution. You identify and develop new markets, customers and channels and build these into sustainable revenue streams.

You easily build long-term customer relationships, communicate with impact and remain resilient in a dynamic, international environment.

You work independently, maintain oversight of complex commercial trajectories and take ownership of results. In addition, you have proven experience in managing and growing international portfolios within large categories, carrying substantial commercial responsibility of at least €100 million.

Experience

  • A university degree in Commercial Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 8-10 years of proven experience in customer acquisition, entering new markets or channels and increasing market share, for example in roles such as Senior Sales Manager, Sales Director or similar commercial positions.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and growing major retail and/or e-commerce accounts.
  • Experience within FMCG, consumer goods, durable goods, or a similar commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of European retail and e-commerce channel dynamics.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across multiple functions.
  • Experience in a category- or brand-led organization is highly desirable.

  • Existing relationships with major European retailers in the Home, DIY, Lifestyle, or Housewares sectors.
  • Experience in home storage, home organization, cleaning products, or related categories.
  • Experience within a global manufacturing-driven business environment.
