The Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) is currently searching for a Communications & Events Coordinator to join our small-but-mighty team in Regina.

This is a newly created position with an intentionally broad mandate. You'll have exposure to virtually every aspect of the association - and to the people and issues shaping our sector. Plus, you'll be coming on board at an exciting time: IBAS celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2027, and you'll play an important part in bringing that milestone to life.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This isn't a role where you'll be handed the same checklist every Monday. You'll be turning ideas into action and supporting a fast-paced organization punching way above its weight class - both provincially and across Canada.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Communications & Outreach

• Draft and edit newsletters, op-eds and articles, announcements, correspondence, presentations, social media and digital content, and other communications.
• Support member, partner, and community engagement initiatives, including through the #BrokersCare Community Fund, which has raised and donated more than $515,000 since 2021.
• Help tell the story of Saskatchewan's insurance brokerage community and the work IBAS does on its behalf.

Events & Industry Initiatives

• Coordinate logistics for IBAS events, meetings, and activities.
• Contribute to the planning of IBAS's major events, including its expanded 75th anniversary programming.
• Travel periodically throughout Saskatchewan (and occasionally beyond) to support IBAS-related initiatives.

Executive Support

• Assist IBAS leadership with board and committee coordination, meeting preparation, agendas, materials, and follow-up.
• Provide thoughtful, proactive administrative support to the executive team and help ensure priorities keep moving forward.
• Quarterback projects and deadlines across multiple stakeholders.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You might be an early-career public relations practitioner, an events coordinator ready for more responsibility, or someone with experience in another industry altogether who knows they can bring the right combination of skills and drive to this opportunity.

You are someone based in or around Regina who:

• Is a confident and compelling communicator, both verbally and in writing;
• Has exceptional organizational skills and can keep multiple priorities moving forward simultaneously;
• Takes ownership and is proactive;
• Is comfortable working independently, but still knows when to ask questions and seek direction;
• Can build strong, professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
• Has excellent attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture;
• Is curious and is willing to learn;
• Is comfortable working with technology and learning new platforms and tools (bonus points if you bring graphic design or videography skills to the table); and
• Brings sound judgement, professionalism, and discretion when working with senior leaders.

IBAS has a progressive compensation philosophy that permeates throughout the entire organization. We believe good people should be trusted, supported, and rewarded for the value they bring.

Competitive Salary

We'll make sure your salary aligns with your abilities, experience, and potential. We anticipate a starting salary of $55,000 - $65,000, but we're also willing to make an exception for the right individual with a commensurate skill set and professional background.

Strong Benefits

We cost-share (50%) staff participation in a robust group benefits plan through Saskatchewan Blue Cross. Employees have the option to choose between individual and family coverage.

Retirement & Performance Incentives

We'll match up to 6% of your base salary into a group RRSP program and provide access to our Performance Incentive Program.

Flexibility

You'll have your own office, free parking, and flexibility to work remotely. We believe strongly in work-life integration and that good work and maintaining a healthy balance are not mutually exclusive.

In addition to regular holidays, IBAS also closes its office between Christmas and New Year's for fully paid vacation.
