About This Opportunity
The Events Coordinator will be responsible for supporting volunteers and Provincial Advisers with event planning and registrations, managing GGC's online registration system, collaborating with key internal teams, responding to event inquiries with strong customer service, and applying GGC's diversity, inclusivity, and equity policies in all communications and processes.
Position Specifics
In This Role You Will
- Provide support and insight to volunteers who are running local and provincial events for girls.
- Create and manage registration forms for attendees, informed by local event volunteers.
- Support volunteers with their planning, event communications; and help them navigate GGC processes to make it easy for them.
- Use, and become an expert in, GGC's online registration system.
- Support Provincial Advisers with processes and resources pertaining to events, which includes escalating complex situations, collaborating on project plans and supporting advertising and budgeting.
- Collaborate with Programming, Learning & Engagement, Finance, and Risk teams to keep operations simple and efficient.
- Support GGC's volunteer Learning & Engagement team by supporting adult event registrations when necessary.
- Respond to general event inquiries and ensure that a positive customer service relationship is maintained.
- Apply organizational policies regarding diversity, inclusivity and equity to content, member communication and customer service.
General
- Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
- Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.

Requirements
- Related post-secondary education (Business Administration, Event Management, Volunteer Management) or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years' experience working in an office environment.
- Intermediate computer skills including Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, both written and verbal.
- Skilled at setting priorities and managing time.
- Excellent organizational abilities and detailed oriented.
- You embody the attributes of our core DNA - welcoming, imaginative, courageous and enthusiastic.
Assets
- Familiarity with Girl Guides of Canada and experience in the voluntary sector is an asset.
Hiring Range: $45,600 to $53,820 Annually
