Are you interested in?
- Working with a multidisciplinary team that includes Landscape Architects, Urban Planners, Engineers, and Biologists
- Engaging with stakeholders, rightsholders, and the public-at-large on:
- Urban Design projects (plazas, parks, playgrounds)
- Planning projects (masterplans, municipal development plans, recreation plans, community strategic plans)
- Infrastructure projects (riverbanks, roads, bridges)
- Turning technical information into engaging public information
Collaborating with-and working for-Indigenous communities
- Supporting the production of proposals and business development pursuits
- Occasional travel within Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario
What you'll bring to the SMM team:
- Ability to turn technical project information into compelling, easy-to-digest graphics and language in collaboration with our project team
- Ability to collaborate on the strategy, development, and writing of engagement and communication plans
- Experience conducting client background research to identify questions and concerns, providing guidance on strategic visioning
- Expertise in researching and identifying the people affected by projects and assessing the level of impact they will experience
- Ability to lead proposal strategy and planning sessions in collaboration with internal partners, and facilitate meetings, sessions, and presentations
- Time management and strong organization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate with diverse groups tactfully and diplomatically; a team player
- Ability to diagnose, analyze, and develop solutions to complex issues
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop grammatically accurate technical and written content
- Data analysis and report writing experience
- Education or background in communications, journalism, urban planning, landscape architecture, or natural resource management, with experience in community engagement
