About Orah
We want Orah to be a place where people can do their best work and feel comfortable being themselves. We care more about how you think, how you act, and the perspective you bring than whether you tick every box on a job description. If you believe you can make a strong contribution here but your experience doesn't line up perfectly, apply anyway. We'd love to hear from you.
Orah is a school safety platform that helps independent schools know where students are. Orah uses the routine processes that schools already run to keep student locations updated in real time, for use in daily operations and emergencies-making it easier for schools to account for students and significantly reduce crisis response times.
We're a 40?person EdTech SaaS company with a growing Toronto hub (six teammates on the ground today). We're ready to welcome an energetic, hands?on Marketing Coordinator (Events & Partnerships) who will build relationships with key Orah partners, identify and execute co?marketing initiatives, and coordinate our North American events.
This is an early?career, high?ownership role for someone who wants to sit at the intersection of events, partnerships, and revenue.
The mission
Own the events and partnerships engine to:
- Grow pipeline - Help the marketing and sales teams generate qualified opportunities from events and our channel partners.
- Execute world?class events - Coordinate 25+ events across North America with impactful pre?event campaigns, strong at?event presence and capture, and tight follow?up.
- Run consistent 3?month pre?event campaigns that engage prospects and increase event ROI.
- Help ensure event targets are met and that follow?through happens.
- Engage and activate partners - Build relationships with key Orah partner organisations, keep partners updated on what's happening at Orah, coordinate joint marketing events and campaigns, and increase referrals to and from Orah partners.
You'll report to:
- Head of Marketing ...and partner weekly with Product, RevOps, and Sales.
What you'll do
Events (?60%)
- Coordinate North America events end to end
Coordinate 25+ sponsored and hosted events each year. Manage logistics, vendor communication, travel, merch, booth assets, and on?site execution. Partner with sales reps to ensure interactions are logged and follow?up happens.
- Help drive pipeline from events
Support marketing to achieve event?sourced pipeline targets. Help build rep interaction plans, track attribution windows, and run disciplined follow?up so events convert into opportunities.
- Run impactful pre?event campaigns
Build lists, coordinate direct mail and gifting, send multi?touch campaigns, and work with SDRs to book meetings ahead of key conferences and hosted events.
- Coordinate and host Orah events
Identify opportunities to run side?events around major conferences. Coordinate internal speakers, secure venues, create localised collateral, and promote to customers and prospects.
Partnerships (?40%)
- Support joint marketing with partners
Help build relationships with independent school associations (ATLIS, NAIS, PAIS, TABS, etc.) and software partners (Blackbaud, Veracross, FACTS). Work with the Head of Marketing to uncover and execute new opportunities for deeper partnership beyond events, ensuring Orah shows up professionally, prepared, and consistent.
- Support growth of the partner programme
Keep Orah partners updated on what's happening at Orah, help coordinate joint marketing events and campaigns, and support efforts to increase referrals to and from Orah partners by demonstrating value to shared and prospective clients.
What makes you a great fit
- You have at least 2 years of experience in marketing or a related field, with hands?on experience supporting or running events or campaigns.
- You're organised, structured, and keep projects moving. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and follow through on every detail.
- You enjoy building strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams, and you don't need hand?holding to deliver great work.
- People are drawn to your energy and presence. You love meeting new people and coming up with creative ideas to reach goals.
- You are comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Notion, and AI assistants daily.
- You have a bias for action, strong follow?through, and can turn loose ideas into crisp plans that drive results.
- You're happy spending 80% of your time in the weeds and 20% at the strategic level-you're as comfortable sending hand?written postcards as you are helping map out a partnerships campaign.
- Behavioural DNA: Bias for Action, Follow through, Strong Convictions Loosely Held.
- You're based in Toronto and able to join the team in?office three days per week, and you're comfortable with monthly US travel for events.
This is a great role for someone early in their marketing career who wants to learn fast, work closely with sales and partners, and see a direct line between their work and revenue.
Skills and experience we're looking for
You don't need to tick every box, but experience in several of these areas will help you succeed:
- Project and event coordination or management
- Stakeholder coordination across sales, marketing, and partners
- Data?driven thinking and comfort working with simple reports and dashboards
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience working within budgets and managing suppliers or vendors
- Comfort with CRM and marketing tools (HubSpot preferred)
- Experience with tools like Clay or other outbound / list?building platforms is a plus
How we work
We're a small, focused team that moves quickly. You'll have:
- Clear goals tied to event and partner?sourced pipeline
- Support from the Head of Marketing and Sales leaders
- Standardised playbooks and templates you can help improve over time
We care a lot about how we work together: ownership, openness, and a willingness to test, learn, and iterate.
