Tourism Jasper is the Destination Marketing Organization for Jasper and Jasper National Park. We're a young, energetic, forward-thinking team, who are charged with developing and executing on creative solutions to help our Shareholders (select hotels, restaurants, and activities in Jasper) increase revenue through sustainable visitation of targeted consumers to our awesome little town.

WHY YOU'RE HERE:

Reporting to the Media Relations Manager, the Social Media & Asset Coordinator provides support to Tourism Jasper's Marketing team, specifically. The Social Media & Asset Coordinator is responsible for leading Tourism Jasper's social media presence, managing digital assets, and supporting marketing initiatives through creative content production. In this role, they will oversee daily social media planning and engagement, coordinate influencer activities, and track performance metrics. They also manage the full digital asset library, ensuring proper metadata, usage rights, and stakeholder access, and support content creation through pictures and video. Additionally, the role assists with the development, inventory, and distribution of branded merchandise and marketing collateral, helping to strengthen Tourism Jasper's overall brand and promotional efforts.

THIS IS YOUR ROLE:

As the Social Media and Asset Coordinator, you will:

Social Media (40%)

  • Manage our organic social media accounts (plan, schedule, and publish daily posts across all social media platforms)
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and interact with followers
  • Track and report social media performance, identifying areas of opportunity and further exploration
  • Assist in organizing and supporting social media influencer visits

Asset Creation and Management (40%)

  • Capture content, including photos and videos, for various projects and mediums
  • Following the Parks Canada filming guidelines, manage any third-party video and asset development shoots for campaign creative, corporate, or business development collateral
  • Manage Tourism Jasper's complete digital library utilizing the digital asset management database (CrowdRiff)
  • Manage all photo metadata, and ensure assets are up to date with usage rights
  • Ensure media, partners, and Tourism Jasper Shareholders have access to digital assets as requested
  • Support shareholders asset capture efforts and promote their business on our channels

Merchandise and Collaterals (10%)

  • Coordinate the development, inventory, and distribution of organizational merchandise and marketing collateral

Admin Duties (10%)

  • Collaborate with the Media Relations Manager and provide ad hoc support as required.
  • Support the marketing team with administrative tasks as (invoices, travel booking, etc.)
  • Other duties as needed.

YOU ARE ARMED WITH:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, tourism, communications, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in tourism or hospitality industry
  • Familiar with social media marketing tools and analytics
  • Basic graphic design skills or exposure to design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe, etc.)
  • Service-oriented with the ability to assess needs, provide appropriate solutions and follow through
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to multitask
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Being solution driven
  • Outside-the-box thinking
  • Knowledge about Jasper
  • Passion about the world of social media and new technology
