The Vice President, Operational Excellence, is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's Health, Safety & Environment, Disability Management, and Quality Assurance (HSEQ) programs across all regions. This executive role ensures regulatory compliance, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, inclusivity, and quality excellence. The Vice President leads strategic initiatives, manages risk, and provides guidance to senior leadership, project teams, and field operations to achieve corporate objectives. Experience in wireless and wireline construction, as well as steel manufacturing operations, is essential to ensure alignment with industry-specific safety and quality standards. Work Duties Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) strategy that supports and advances organizational objectives. Oversee national health, safety, environmental, disability management, and quality assurance programs to ensure consistency and excellence across all regions. Provide strong leadership to HSEQ teams, including setting clear expectations, coaching, mentoring, motivating staff, and managing performance to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, industry standards, and certifications (COR, ISO). Lead audits, inspections, and performance reviews to maintain certifications and drive continuous process improvement. Direct the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs specifically tailored to the unique requirements of wireless/wireline construction and steel manufacturing environments. Provide executive oversight for incident investigations, ensuring prompt root cause analysis, and the implementation of effective corrective actions. Champion initiatives promoting environmental sustainability and disability inclusion throughout the organization. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate HSEQ considerations into strategic business planning and daily operations. Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators for HSEQ programs to the executive team, providing actionable insights for decision-making. Represent the organization in regulatory, industry, and stakeholder forums, advocating for best practices and organizational interests. Requirements Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) or closely related fields. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or related discipline required; CRSP or equivalent professional designation is preferred. Demonstrated expertise with COR, ISO 9001/14001, and disability management programs. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and current industry best practices. Direct experience in both wireless/wireline construction and steel manufacturing operations. Strong leadership and management of a team skills, including experience motivating teams, managing performance, and developing talent. Demonstrates exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Willingness, and ability to travel nationally as required. Working Conditions Primarily office based. Travel required.
