Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and digitally fluent professional to join our team as a bilingual Digital Communications Coordinator. Reporting to the Director, Public Affairs and Communications, this role is essential in ensuring AIC's digital content is accessible, engaging, and upholds the professional standards.

The Coordinator will be responsible for the execution and optimization of our digital communications, translating strategic objectives into dynamic, visual, and audience-ready materials. You will serve as a key resource for digital best practices and leverage AI-powered tools and data insights to enhance the overall member and stakeholder experience.

As the Digital Communication Coordinator, you will:

  • Support the planning, formatting, and publication of digital content, including e-blasts, newsletters, AIC web updates, and social media posts.
  • Maintain and update content through the association's content management system (CMS) to ensure information is current and user-friendly.
  • Publish, schedule, and monitor social media content, ensuring consistency with brand tone and messaging.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure web and social media content supports key communications and reflects current initiatives.
  • Design and adapt infographics and visual summaries to present key information and data in a clear, accessible, and engaging way for Members and industry audiences.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools (for writing, editing, visual design, and data analysis) to support efficient and engaging content delivery.
  • Monitor and report on digital performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and user behaviour.
  • Uphold high editorial and accessibility standards across all content formats.
  • Stay updated on emerging digital trends and tools, making recommendations for adoption where relevant.
  • Provide support for other communication tasks as needed.

Who You Are

Education

  • A college diploma or university degree in communications, digital media, marketing, or related field is considered an asset.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in digital communications, web publishing, or multimedia production.
  • Proficiency with CMS (WordPress), email marketing tools (Mailchimp), and social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Experience with AI-assisted content and design tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva, Adobe Firefly, or similar).
  • Experience in a national or member-based organization is considered an asset.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with digital platforms and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights), and accessibility standards.
  • Skilled in visual communication with the ability to create infographics and visual content that enhances clarity and engagement.
  • Ability to use data insights to refine digital practices and report on performance.
  • Excellent bilingual (English/French) writing and editing skills are required.
