About ZOMI

ZOMI is building the AI-native decision layer for food discovery.

We believe food discovery should not start from restaurant names. People decide what to eat based on cravings, dishes, context, and intent. ZOMI is building a new kind of food decision platform that helps users discover what they actually want to eat, while helping restaurants turn their menus into direct growth and distribution channels.

Today, we work with restaurant partners through direct ordering and menu infrastructure that helps them strengthen their direct channel, offer better pricing than major delivery platforms, and unlock new customer demand.

We're now expanding in Calgary and looking for someone who can help us grow our merchant network on the ground.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the full merchant acquisition cycle across key business districts and high-rated restaurants in Calgary, from lead generation to visit, demo, signing, onboarding, and first order.
  • Build a steady pipeline through multi-touch outbound efforts, including in-person prospecting, Google Maps and social media outreach, cold email and phone calls, and local community referrals.
  • Identify high-potential restaurants, understand merchant pain points, and clearly position ZOMI's value proposition.
  • Conduct on-site demos and handle objections with confidence, clarity, and strong closing ability.
  • Work cross-functionally with the team to ensure signed merchants go live smoothly and start generating early traction.
  • Deliver weekly pipeline updates, territory insights, and action plans based on field learnings.

What It TakesMust-haves

  • Fluent English with strong in-person communication skills, clear logic, and the ability to build trust quickly with merchants.
  • Comfortable presenting, demoing products, and handling objections on-site.
  • Own vehicle and ability to cover major business districts across Calgary.
  • Strong execution and closing ability - able to consistently move merchants from outreach to demo to signed and live.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in restaurant tech, delivery, ordering SaaS, payments, O2O, or related BD / account management roles.
  • Familiarity with Google Maps prospecting, social outreach, or local merchant ecosystems.
  • Additional language skills such as Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or others.
  • Experience in launching a new market, territory expansion, or field sales / street-level growth projects.
