Business Development Representative (Vancouver)

The Opportunity

This is not your traditional AEC business development role. We are looking for a true salesperson - a "hunter". Someone who knows how to generate opportunities, open doors, build pipeline, and close business in a professional services environment. We are in it together and you will have a strong team to support you through the cycle and access to lead generating marketing campaigns.

You understand that strong professional services sales are built on credibility, persistence, follow-through, and trust. You know how to manage long-cycle relationship-based sales while still maintaining urgency, accountability, and strong pipeline discipline.

Most importantly, you have a proven track record of driving growth.

What You'll Do:

Generate New Business

You are a hunter and an account manager! You create and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic relationship development.

Build Pipeline

Actively manage and grow a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Drive the Sales Process

Own opportunities through the sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through relationship development, and closing. Support our team to close existing projects and expand on existing relationships.

Expand Strategic Relationships

Build relationships with developers, architects, contractors, infrastructure clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.

Grow Existing Accounts

Identify opportunities to expand relationships and increase repeat business within existing accounts.

Partner with Technical Leaders

Collaborate closely with senior technical teams to align client needs with solutions and strategic positioning.

What You Bring

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Strong sales training and understanding of modern sales processes
  • Proven ability to generate new business
  • Proven ability to convert relationship into revenue
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle
  • Strong prospecting and outbound business development skills
  • Demonstrated performance metrics tied to revenue, pipeline, growth, or account expansion
  • Experience using CRM systems and pipeline tracking tools
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-driven, proactive, and highly organized

Compensation

  • Base Salary $80-90K
  • Strong performance-based incentive structure (Accrued commissions based on revenue closed) Target OTE $150,000-$190,000
  • Flexible and autonomous working environment
