Toc Toc Communications is an independent healthcare marketing and communications agency with offices in Montreal and Toronto. We partner with pharmaceutical and healthcare clients to develop strategic, creative and compliant brand experiences across channels.
We are looking for a strong, autonomous Account Manager who can confidently own client relationships, move complex projects forward and bring clarity, judgement and accountability to every stage of the work.

What you'll do
- Own client relationships. Lead day-to-day communications and meetings, clarify requests, manage expectations, provide thoughtful counsel and ensure decisions and next steps are documented and followed through.
- Lead projects and teams. Run projects from initiation to delivery, aligning creative, copy, medical, digital, media, production and external partners so each contributor has the direction they need. Anticipate risks early and arrive with recommended solutions.
- Manage budgets and scope. Develop estimates, monitor budgets and burn, identify out-of-scope requests, communicate financial risks, support timely invoicing and help protect agency profitability.
- Uphold quality and compliance. Maintain high standards of accuracy and detail, and manage the impact of PAAB, ASC and client review on content, approvals and timelines in collaboration with medical, legal and regulatory stakeholders.
- Deliver across channels. Lead work across websites, email, social, video, print, media and events, using platforms such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce and PromoMats, or learning them quickly. Delegate to and coach an Account Coordinator or Project Manager.
What you bring
- Minimum 4 years of agency account-management experience, with demonstrated ownership of client relationships, budgets, timelines and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to manage several brands or complex projects with limited senior follow-up
- Strong client-service judgement, including the ability to advise, challenge constructively and manage expectations
- Excellent project management, prioritization and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong financial acumen: estimating, scope management, budget tracking and invoicing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional fluency in English, French a strong asset
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or another regulated industry, and knowledge of PAAB, ASC, Veeva CRM, Salesforce or PromoMats, are strong assets
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, science or a related discipline
Reporting
This Toronto-based hybrid role reports to an Account Supervisor or Account Director, and works closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across our Toronto and Montreal teams.
