We're Hiring! Director of Strategic Communications & Philanthropy

Congregation Schara Tzedeck is seeking an experienced, strategic and relationship-focused professional to join our team as Director of Strategic Communications & Philanthropy. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader who brings together fundraising, communications, community engagement, and strategy to help strengthen our congregation and support its long-term growth and sustainability.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:

- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve annual and long-term revenue goals

- Grow and diversify revenue through individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundations, grants, sponsorships and community campaigns

- Cultivate and steward strong relationships with donors and community partners

- Lead strategic communications across digital, social media, website, print and promotional channels

- Develop compelling, donor-focused stories that communicate our mission and impact

- Strengthen community engagement and organizational visibility

- Develop reports, dashboards and performance measures to support strategic decision-making

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a strategic thinker and strong relationship-builder who can turn ideas into action and bring people together around a shared vision.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Philanthropy, Business Administration or a related field

- Experience in both fundraising and strategic communications

- Experience with major gifts, annual giving and corporate sponsorships

- Strong expertise in donor stewardship, retention and pipeline development

- Experience developing integrated marketing, advocacy or public relations campaigns

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, media, community partners, and internal stakeholders.

- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling communications

- Experience with digital fundraising, email marketing and social media analytics

- Strong organizational, analytical and project-management skills

The Opportunity:

Full-Time | Hybrid

Vancouver, BC - must be available to work in person at our Schara Tzedeck location 2-3 days per week

$103,000-$115,000

Some evening commitments required
