THE POSITION
The Manager of Events leads the planning, coordination, and execution of our signature events and programs. This role is central to building meaningful experiences for members, stakeholders, and the community, while showcasing the Chamber as a trusted advocate and connector for Regina's business community.
Here's what you'll do:
The position includes the following responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, organize, and deliver a calendar of Chamber events including luncheons, networking sessions, the Chair's Inauguration Dinner, Paragon Awards, Take a Break Luncheon, the annual Golf Tournament, and other special initiatives.
- Manage event logistics end-to-end: securing venues, catering, audiovisual, décor, agendas, and on-site setup.
- Liaise with presenters, emcees, entertainers, and sponsors to ensure smooth program flow.
- Oversee event registration, seating arrangements, signage, and collateral.
- Lead on-site event management, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all attendees.
Sponsorship & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, partners, and vendors.
- Coordinate sponsor packages, recognition, and fulfillment of benefits.
- Engage with civic leaders and key stakeholders for invitations and protocol.
- Work with Chamber Ambassadors and volunteers to support event execution.
Communications & Marketing
- Collaborate with the Communications team to promote events through digital channels, media partners, and Chamber Master.
- Ensure event descriptions, logos, and photography are accurate and compelling.
- Support media partnerships and oversee event-related video shoots and promotional content.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Prepare event budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial accountability.
- Manage invoicing, sponsorship payments, and post-event reconciliation.
- Track registrations, attendance, and sponsorship activity in Chamber Master.
- Provide post-event reports, evaluation, and recommendations for improvement.
Teamwork & Organizational Support
- Supervise and coordinate with staff, volunteers, and contractors supporting event delivery.
- Serve as a point of contact for member inquiries about events.
- Collaborate with the broader Chamber team to align events with strategic goals and advocacy priorities.

- Reliable team player who can take initiative, work independently, and represent the Chamber with professionalism at all times.
This is the experience you bring:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in event planning and delivery, ideally in a corporate, association, or non-profit setting.
- Background in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven ability to manage budgets, sponsorships, and vendor relationships with accountability and transparency.
- Experience coordinating large-scale events with multiple stakeholders, as well as smaller, member-focused gatherings.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills - comfortable juggling multiple events at once.
- Solid technical skills, with comfort using event management and digital platforms (experience with Chamber Master is an asset).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
