Position Overview

We're seeking a creative, purpose-driven Social Media Content Creator to help tell the stories of HER Victory - the women we serve, the volunteers who make it possible, and the community that surrounds us. This role is ideal for someone who blends storytelling skill with social media savvy, and who brings both heart and professionalism to everything they create.

You'll be responsible for maintaining a consistent, engaging online presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, helping us highlight our work, grow our audience, and raise awareness around key causes and events.

  • Create visually engaging carousels, reels, images, and captions that reflect HER Victory's heart and voice.
  • Produce recurring themed content (e.g. Testimony Tuesday, Partnership Wednesday, Fact Friday).
  • Interview staff, volunteers, and community partners for spotlight features and "Day in the Life of HER Victory" style content.
  • Ensure content is platform-appropriate - understanding that Instagram and LinkedIn have different audiences, algorithms, and engagement styles.

Campaign & Awareness Planning

  • Prepare and execute content for awareness dates (e.g. Overdose Awareness Day, Red Dress Day, Human Trafficking Awareness Day).
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and run key digital campaigns (e.g. Giving Tuesday, Christmas outreach, annual fundraising events).

Community Engagement & Monitoring

  • Actively monitor and engage with comments, messages, and tags on all platforms in a warm, professional tone.
  • Reshare relevant partner and collaborator content.
  • Engage weekly with posts from like-minded organizations to build visibility and strengthen online relationships.
  • Monitor and post updates on both HER Victory and Executive Director LinkedIn accounts as appropriate.

Networking & Growth

  • Stay informed about social media trends, best practices, and AI-assisted content tools to enhance reach and storytelling.
  • Explore ways to use AI tools ethically to streamline design, captioning, and analytics without losing authenticity.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn required).
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media algorithms, engagement trends, and analytics for Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency in Canva (or similar design tools).
  • Understanding of or experience with exploitation, human trafficking, or social services sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Compassionate communicator who can uphold the dignity and confidentiality of the women we serve.
  • Familiarity with
AI tools is an asset.Time Commitment & Flexibility
  • Approx. 5 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Occasional additional hours during key campaigns or special events.
  • Hybrid role - remote most weeks, with some in-person collaboration for filming or interviews.
