Who We Are

The Chiropractic Association of Alberta was launched on December 1, 2021, following the separation from the Chiropractic College of Alberta under Bill 46. Our purpose is to elevate chiropractic care, and we need a dynamic, energetic, go-getter to help us elevate chiropractic care by keeping our operations running smoothly.

The Opportunity

We're a small, high-impact team that values initiative, collaboration, and excellence. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you'll play a central role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly. From managing schedules and coordinating communications to ensuring deadlines are met, you'll be the backbone of our leadership team.

This role combines approximately 70% administrative support with 30% communications support. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, communicates with clarity and confidence, and enjoys creating order out of complexity.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Administrative Coordination: Organize documents and files, handle light data entry, and support expense reporting and correspondence.
  • Project & Event Support: Assist with timelines, deliverables, and communications for internal projects; coordinate logistics for meetings, member events, and the annual conference.
  • Governance Support: Take minutes at a governance level, support Board activities, and ensure accurate documentation of decisions.
  • Communication Management: Monitor emails, respond to inquiries on behalf of the CEO, and ensure timely follow up.
  • Professional Skills: Exercise discretion with confidential information, demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal abilities, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a fast paced environment.
  • Occasional Travel: Travel within Alberta (and occasionally nationally) to support conferences, meetings, and events

Education and Experience

  • Educational background in business administration, communications, public relations, office administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in executive support, event coordination, or office administration, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience supporting governance processes and Boards is strongly preferred.
  • Membership or interest in professional associations such as IABC, CMA, ACE, or CPRS considered an asset.

What You Offer

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including strong presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Professional, discreet, and confident in supporting senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to anticipate needs and stay ahead.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Energetic, positive, and motivated to contribute to a high-performance environment.
  • Strategic thinker with proven leadership skills and commitment to quality outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced settings and work effectively with diverse professionals.

The Why

This is your chance to be part of a start-up environment that's fast paced, fun, and driven by innovation. We're modernizing the member experience with cutting-edge solutions and pushing the limits of what's possible. With low bureaucracy and high autonomy, you'll have the freedom to make things happen, because around here, our favourite word is YES!

What We Offer:

  • Dynamic and collaborative culture where your ideas matter
  • Hybrid work schedule (in-office Tuesday-Thursday) for balance and flexibility
  • Professional development opportunities to grow your skills and career
  • A meaningful mission supporting healthcare professionals and the communities they serve
