POSITION SUMMARY

The Fundraising Manager, Annual Giving & Events is a key member of the Development team and plays a central role in furthering InspireHealth's fundraising, community outreach, and donor engagement goals.

Reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with the Development Officer and Sr. Marketing Manager, this role supports the planning and execution of major fundraising events, promotes the growth of monthly giving and annual campaigns, and manages an active network of volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. The position also aids in corporate engagement, sponsorship development, and legacy giving initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic fundraiser and events professional who enjoys planning campaigns and experiences that motivate giving and build community bonds.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Fundraising Events & Community Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver InspireHealth's flagship fundraising events, including A Night to Inspire Gala, donor cultivation and appreciation events, and community partnership events.
  • Create innovative concepts and engagement experiences that align with InspireHealth's mission and enhance donor involvement.
  • Manage event budgets, vendor contracts, timelines, sponsorship fulfilment, and volunteer teams.
  • Collaborate across departments with the Communications team on event marketing, storytelling, and post-event reporting.
  • Assess outcomes and return on investment to continually enhance future events.

2. Annual, Monthly & Seasonal Campaigns

  • Lead the planning and implementation of Spring and Winter Campaigns, GivingTuesday, and other organization-wide fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to boost the number of members and patients who become monthly donors, and to increase monthly-giving revenue year over year.
  • Collaborate with Communications to craft donor-focused appeals and multi-channel messaging across email, web, and social platforms.
  • Monitor donor data, conversion patterns, and retention metrics to inform data-driven campaign enhancements.

3. Corporate Engagement & Sponsorship

  • Promote the development and management of relationships with corporate sponsors and partners for events and programs.
  • Develop sponsorship proposals and recognition packages that align the company's goals with InspireHealth's mission.
  • Coordinate sponsor deliverables and ensure reports are submitted and acknowledged on time.

4. Volunteer Recruitment & Management

  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers for fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Foster a sense of community among volunteers through regular communication, recognition, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a well-organized volunteer database and scheduling system to ensure efficient deployment.

5. Legacy Giving & Donor Stewardship

  • Support InspireHealth's legacy giving program through donor engagement, educational resources, and follow-up.
  • Support stewardship tasks such as acknowledgments, impact updates, and personalized communication.
  • Maintain precise records and ensure adherence to CRA standards and ethical fundraising principles.

6. Other Duties

  • Oversee donor receipting, donor acknowledgement & donor data management and analytics through donor management software.
  • Attend team meetings, strategic planning sessions, and inter-departmental initiatives.
  • Help foster a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive fundraising and event management, experience within a non-profit or healthcare setting.
  • Proven success in running large-scale fundraising events and multi-channel giving campaigns.
  • Proven ability to acquire and keep monthly donors.
  • Experience in managing volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate sponsorships and donor stewardship practices.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and skilled at managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Raiser's Edge or equivalent), Microsoft Office Suite, and digital marketing tools.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

· Able to commute regularly to InspireHealth' s Vancouver Centre and travel occasionally to other Centres or community events across BC.

· Possess a valid BC driver's license.

· Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and campaigns.

Salary range will be dependent upon experience, between $60K - $70K.
