Our ideal collaborator(s) would be available to work with us during our core office hours (weekdays 9 AM to 3PM), and bring proven experience in one or more of the following:

  • Layout & Print Design- Turning raw copy into one-pagers, posters, flyers, and banners that are compelling, communicative, and consistent with client brands and preferences.
  • Digital Asset Design - Building editable templates (PowerPoint decks, social media posts, report covers, etc.) that clients can use in-house; designing icons, motifs, or small illustrations that can be used across websites or campaign collateral.
  • Landing Page Design - Designing clear, functional, accessible layouts in Wix and/or WordPress block builders (e.g. Divi). Experience in UX and/or content design is a bonus!
  • Social Media Video Editing - Turning b-roll and long-form videos into reels and clips for social media; producing dynamic highlight reels using client-provided content.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a graphic or web designer, ideally in a non-profit or agency environment
  • Generally available to meet/turn around edits during our office core hours (9 am - 3 pm)
  • Proven ability to design with clarity and communication in mind, with a deep understanding of information hierarchy and typography.
  • Knowledge of accessible design best practices and standards.
  • Ability to design across cultural contexts (experience working with First Nations clients is a strong asset)
