Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, the Marketing Manager is accountable for the planning and execution of the overall marketing strategy for Spirit of Math Schools to meet company objectives such as: increasing student registrations, media sales and awareness of the Spirit of Math brand.

The person in this role should be able to complete tasks that could take 1 – 2 years to execute.
Skilled Knowledge & Experience:
With a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marketing Manager managing a minimum of 3 people, this person is able to create and execute an enterprise-wide marketing strategy. Ideally, this person has international franchise marketing experience outside of North America and understands the needs of various cultures. This individual should have experience conducting marketing campaigns in multiple media including television, radio, print and online advertising.
The Marketing Manager will have the ability to follow through on tasks to completion and have experience managing a marketing team and managing agencies and selecting agencies.
The individual is highly computer literate and familiar with Adobe software, online marketing, and social media. They should be proficient in data collection and analysis in relation to marketing campaigns. This individual should also have experience incorporating social media into marketing strategy.
This individual is skilled at conveying ideas as concisely as possible in multiple media such as visual imagery, written text, webpage content, etc. They will have a creative orientation that enables them to generate novel ideas to capture audience attention.

Authorities:
The Marketing Manager has the following authorities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff within the Marketing Department.
- Develop relationships with external organizations (e.g., advertising and public relations agencies; market research firms; etc.) as necessary to assist with the development and implementation of Spirit of Math’s marketing efforts.
- Advising Campus Owners and Campus Principals on marketing strategy and tactics for campuses.
- Advising all departments on marketing training content and standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the appropriate input of franchisees into the overall marketing process.
- Approvals of marketing plans from campuses and different operational departments.
- Coordinate administrative staff to implement approved marketing activities.
- Making day to day decisions on processes and systems for the marketing department.
Responsibilities:
The Marketing Manager has the overall responsibility to develop, execute and maintain the smooth and effective processes of the marketing department. The Marketing Manager is to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness across all channels for the overall brand, the corporate and franchise campuses and the RTG operations globally. These responsibilities are to create the following key outcomes:
- Strategic Plans: Working with the marketing team to develop, implement, oversee and analyze the success of the enterprise marketing strategy and all associated activities.
- Collaborate with other the Marketing Team and other company teams (such as Sales, Campus Operations, People & Culture, etc.) on cross departmental projects.
- Budgeting: Develop and submit detailed budgets for the Marketing Department. Monitoring and adhering to approved budgets.
- Brand Standard: Create a brand around the RTG concept and ensure brand standards are aligned and maintained in all marketing activity.
- Marketing Collateral Management: Create and maintain an efficient marketing collateral process and catalogue of marketing collateral. Develop new marketing materials as needed: this includes photography and videography.
- Overall Department Management: ensure the coordination of all the parts of the marketing department including, but not limited to graphic design, campus marketing support, videography, website, external and internal marketing campaigns, operational and brand standards procedures, facilities brand and website.
- Client Engagement: With use of email marketing, social media marketing, paid advertising and campus-related activities, grow the client engagement metrics.
- Campaigns: Promote, develop and help to execute new annual campus, contest, training and drill app campaigns to strengthen current client engagement. Manage all seasonal marketing campaigns.
- Human Resources: assist in promoting the brand of the employees and the recruitment with marketing initiatives and website initiatives.
- Campus Operations Manual: update and maintain a current marketing section of the Campus Operations Manuals for both corporate and franchise campuses.
- Spirit of Math profiles: maintain all profiles on social media websites and responding to communications associated with these profiles
- Vendors and Suppliers: Maintain strong relationships with marketing-related vendors and suppliers.
- Website: ensure the website is updated and maintained for all company operations.
- Graphic Design: ensure the graphic design work is consistent and completed on time.
- Team Management: create, manage and maintain a strong marketing team.
- General Company Participation: Participate in annual conventions, seminars, graduations or business meetings, and attend franchise grand openings, as needed.
- Other: other systems and programs as required to build out the marketing department.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
