About CCPA:
For almost 40 years, CCPA has been providing professional liability protection and risk management guidance to Canada's chiropractors. The team of chiropractors and lawyers also provides support before a claim is filed, addressing member questions about risk management, incidents, or regulatory investigations. We work closely with national and provincial chiropractic associations and college partners to support the profession.

Position Summary:
The Manager of Communications and Marketing at CCPA leads the strategic communication plans and activities that support CCPA's mission to protect, support and guide Canadian chiropractors.
This opportunity provides a high degree of autonomy and creativity. You'll play a key role in deciding how to use communications and marketing activities to help achieve CCPA's strategic goals and its mission. You'll contribute expertise in Board of Directors meetings and amongst the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications
- Develop and implement communication strategies and tactics that align with CCPA's mission, values, and strategic priorities
- Craft clear, consistent messaging for members and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment across all channels
- Manage issues and sensitive messaging with professionalism and discretion
- Develop, monitor and report on performance metrics that are directly related to organizational goals
Member Engagement & Education
- Create and distribute educational content that informs members about risk management, professional liability, and best practices
- Create and distribute quarterly newsletters, monthly memos, and web content to ensure timely and relevant message delivery
- Collaborate with the membership team to support member services and enhance the member experience, such as creating website features or member communications.
- Collaborate with the claims team to develop presentations to member groups throughout the country, as well as review presentations for consistent branding
- Develop member segmentation strategy to further understand our member audience
Marketing & Brand Management
- Lead brand strategy and ensure consistent visual and messaging standards across all platforms
- Develop marketing campaigns to promote CCPA's member benefits
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance to optimize engagement and reach
Digital & Content Strategy
- Manage CCPA's website, LinkedIn page, and digital communications tools, including SEO strategy and implementation
- Oversee content creation, including articles, infographics, videos, and presentations
- Ensure accessibility, accuracy, and relevance of all digital content
Stakeholder Relations
- Serve as a liaison with external partners, including national and provincial associations and chiropractic educational institutions, on communications-related activities
- Provide advice to partner associations on crisis communications and issues management
- Advise on executive communications, remarks, and presentations
Leadership & Collaboration
- Source vendors and make recommendations to CEO. Supervise marketing and communications vendors
- Work cross-functionally with claims, legal counsel, membership and finance teams on organizational development activities
- Foster a collaborative and innovative communications culture within the organization
- Develop marketing plan and budget in consultation with senior management
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in communications and marketing, preferably in a professional association or healthcare-related organization or insurer
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and member engagement strategies
- Experience managing communication budgets
- Experience developing strategic communications plans
Required skills:
- Proven ability to successfully execute communications and marketing campaigns that drive outcomes connected to the organization's operational goals
- Experience in building consensus and collaborating with cross-functional groups to get things done
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize skills
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency in content management systems, email marketing platforms, and design tools
- Experience writing for the web and knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) writing best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Dynamics suite (particularly Customer Insights)
- Familiarity with professional liability, risk management, or healthcare communications
- Bilingual (French) capacity would be beneficial
Compensation:
$90,000 to $110,000 per annum
