Manager of Eastern Canada Sales

Location: Manitoba or Ontario/Quebec (Eastern Canada)

We are seeking a Manager of Eastern Canada Sales to continue building strong customer partnerships and driving regional growth across Eastern Canada to lead the deployment of new and innovative technology across our customer base. This is a permanent full-time position, ensuring continuity of service, relationships, and commercial leadership as the current manager transitions into a new phase within the organization.

Reporting directly into senior leadership, this role is responsible for key account management, regional sales leadership, and market development across Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. The successful candidate will combine swine production and genetics knowledge with a proven agricultural sales career, strong relationship-building ability, and a passion for delivering measurable value to pork producers. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to:

Regional Sales & Market Development

  • Lead sales activity and customer engagement across Eastern Canada.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing key accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Deliver regional sales targets and market-share growth.
  • Communicate customer needs, production insights, and market trends to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee relationships with Account Managers and Distributors.
  • Support sales forecasting, budgeting, and regional sales planning.

Key Account Leadership

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for strategic customer accounts.
  • Support producers with genetics solutions, technical understanding, and long-term value creation.
  • Partner with customers to improve productivity, performance, and business outcomes.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner closely with internal technical, production, and customer-success teams.
  • Contribute to national sales initiatives and knowledge sharing across regions.
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in agricultural sales, account management, or commercial leadership.
  • Practical knowledge of swine production systems, genetics, and producer economics is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market share.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence sales performance, whether through direct team leadership or cross-functional commercial collaboration.
  • Strong business acumen, including experience with sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance targets.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically about customer needs, production challenges, and long-term value creation.
  • Advanced negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-management skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable in a regional, field-based leadership role.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Eastern Canada and maintain proximity to major transportation hubs.
  • Post-secondary education in Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
