About the Role
The Administrative Assistant, Resource Development, provides administrative and operational support that enables the Resource Development department to function smoothly and effectively.
This role supports tasks such as preparing donor communications, assisting with mailings and campaigns, entering and organizing data, and maintaining accurate records. The work is largely structured and task-based, with clear direction and opportunities to learn nonprofit systems and processes.
This position reports to the Resource Development Administrator and is designed to support the administrative workload of the department, enabling high-impact fundraising and stewardship work.
This role provides exposure to nonprofit fundraising systems, donor engagement processes, and campaign logistics, and can serve as a strong foundation for growth within the nonprofit sector.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support to the Resource Development Administrator
- Assist with preparing and organizing donor correspondence and materials
- Support donor mailings, appeals, and stewardship activities
- Enter and update information in the donor database following established procedures
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Assist with basic logistics for campaigns and donor initiatives
- Support general administrative tasks across the Resource Development team as assigned

What You Bring
- Post-secondary education or current studies in office administration, business, nonprofit studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, is preferred. Experience with Monday.com, eTapestry or similar donor CRM systems, and other nonprofit software platforms is an asset.
