This posting is to fill a term position until July 2027, working 75 hours biweekly. Temporary Assignments may be considered.

About the Branch:

The Infrastructure Development Branch (IDB) provides project management services to First Nations and municipalities throughout the Yukon on public infrastructure development initiatives. The branch provides services in three main areas of program delivery: Infrastructure Development, Flood and Erosion control and Infrastructure Fund Administration. IDB manages the planning and prioritization of work, design, and construction for numerous types of infrastructure projects for the territory.

About the Position:

Reporting to the Supervisor Finance and Admin, Infrastructure Development this position is responsible for providing a variety of financial and administrative support functions to the branch including preparing expenditure, forecasts and other reports, assisting staff to develop contracts, requests for purchase, monitoring and closing contracts, processing accounts payable/receivable transactions and coordinating and responding to requests from department and central agency finance staff. Responsibilities also include drafting correspondence, compiling background materials, conducting research and other administrative tasks. Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in the accounting field performing accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliation functions.
  • Experience performing a wide variety of senior level administrative support services (i.e., drafting, proofing and editing documents, managing correspondence and information flow, arranging schedules, working with databases).
  • Experience using a variety of computer programs including database software and financial software systems.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and/or monitoring contracts and/or Transfer Payment Agreements (TPA) would be an asset.

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be equally considered.
