Position: Administrative Assistant

Position Status: 1 Full-time Contract until December 31, 2026

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:

  • answers phone enquiries, takes messages, refers caller to appropriate personnel and provides information as requested;
  • provide general support to visitors, making referrals to appropriate personnel, providing and/or taking information, and assisting clients and the general public in a professional manner;
  • ordering office supplies;
  • providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office;
  • supports staff through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication;
  • maintains filing systems, creating and deleting files as required, retrieving information and ensuring the Agency policies regarding privacy are followed;
  • Prepares agendas, correspondence summaries and other items for meetings as required
  • Backup coverage for admin staff at the main office and YWHO location when required

The candidate will work with other professionals using strong problem solving and excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with community partners is required.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration, business or a combination of post-secondary education and experience deemed relevant by the
  • A valid driver's license, and use of a vehicle, which will be used in conducting agency business, would be considered an
  • Preference will be given to a qualified candidate who is proficient in both official

Hours of Work: 35 hours/week. Flexible hours are required to meet the position requirements including one evening per week until 7pm.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and education within the range: $$22.68-$27.59 per hour inclusive of HOOPP.
