Organization: North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre (NSSRC)
Campaign: Strides for Strokes (S4S) 2026
Contract Term: March 1 - June 30, 2026
Event Date: June 13, 2026 (West Vancouver)
Budget: $800-$875/month (contract)
About the Role
NSSRC is looking for a Creator-minded social media contractor to help grow awareness and excitement for our annual fundraiser, Strides for Strokes, while strengthening NSSRC's overall social presence particularly within the North Shore and broader community. This is an ideal role for someone who already enjoys creating content, understands what performs on Instagram/Facebook, and can turn real community moments into engaging short-form content.
Community management / inbox replies will be handled internally, your focus is content and performance.
1) What You'll Own- Strategy
- Content Calendar (Monthly
- Weekly Execution)
You'll build a simple, repeatable content system that keeps us consistent and helps us grow organically:
- Quick audit baseline of current social performance and what's holding growth back
- A campaign content strategy (March-June) with clear content pillars and post types
- A monthly content plan
- weekly calendar that maps: key event milestones (registration, sponsor announcements, countdown, day-of, thank-you/impact) storytelling beats (members, mission, community, sponsors) performance testing (hooks, formats, timing, cross-posting)
- Light guidance on best practices for discoverability (tagging, hashtags, geotagging, partner cross-promotion)
- Recommendations on when a small boost might be worth it (optional / if budget is available)
2) Content Creation
- Scheduling (Primary Deliverables)
You will create and schedule content across Instagram Facebook
(and adapt key pieces for LinkedIn where it makes sense).
Monthly deliverables:
- 12 posts per month
- At least 6 Reels (short-form video)
- Remaining posts can be a mix of photos, graphics, and carousels
- Stories:
5 days/week, 1 story per day (lightweight is fine-reshare, quick update, behind-the-scenes, countdown, sponsor thank-you)
- Scheduling: schedule all approved content in advance (NSSRC provides final approvals)
Event period expectations (June ramp-up):
- A simple event-week posting plan
- Day-of story coverage (can be remote if footage is provided, or on-site if feasible)
- Post-event thank-you/impact content
Note: We have existing templates and past assets to build from. New filming at the Centre is encouraged when possible to keep content authentic.
3) Simple Monthly Performance Report (1 page)
A quick, easy-to-read monthly summary including:
- planned vs. delivered content
- follower growth and engagement/reach highlights
- what was tested and what worked (hooks, formats, timing)
Who You Are
You're a great fit if you:
- Already create content (for yourself, brands, or community orgs) and understand what works on IG/FB
- Can shoot and edit short-form video efficiently (phone
- CapCut/Premiere/Rush/etc.)
- Can keep design clean and consistent
- Write strong captions with clear hooks and CTAs (without sounding "salesy")
- Are organized, proactive, and can hit deadlines with a light approvals process
- Are thoughtful about nonprofit storytelling (respectful, human, community-first)
Nice to Have
- Local to North/West Vancouver (easier for occasional on-site capture)
- Knowledge of Meta best practices (reels trends, safe audio use, retention-focused editing)
- Experience in nonprofit/community fundraising campaigns
Time Commitment
This is a part-time contract best suited to someone who can consistently deliver content weekly. Expect workload to increase slightly as the June 13 event approaches.
Compensation
$800-$875/month (contract).
If there is a paid boost budget available, you'll advise on how to use it strategically (no heavy ads management required).
