Our fast-paced and growing Social Media Department is looking for a motivated and

detail-oriented Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our team. At Black Press Media, you'll work within a collaborative digital environment, managing active client campaigns across a variety of industries while continuing to build your skills in both paid and organic social media.

We offer a competitive annual salary of $45,000, a comprehensive benefits package including

Position Overview

The Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting paid and

organic social media strategies for client accounts. This role blends creative design, campaign

management, performance optimization, and cross-department collaboration.

You will work directly with the Social Media Head of Department and internal partners to support

audience growth and revenue through effective social marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in liaising with all divisions of Black Press Media to establish and champion digital

and social media content marketing strategies

• Manage assigned social media accounts (advertising and organic management)
• Create, monitor, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns
• Utilize creative design skills to develop high-quality campaign assets using Canva
• Collaborate with partners, vendors, sales teams, and internal departments to achieve

audience and revenue goals

• Support sales staff in presenting and selling social media-related products
• Participate in client calls, digital meetings, and internal training sessions
• Identify and contribute to new revenue opportunities within the Social Media Department
• Stay current on platform updates, trends, and best practices
• Support reporting, analytics tracking, and campaign optimization
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications & Skills

• 1+ year of social media management and/or paid social advertising experience

preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate

• Canva experience required (Adobe an asset)
• Experience with Meta Ads Manager an asset
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Proficient in Google Workspace and comfortable with digital tools
• Thrives in a fast-paced, agency environment
• Detail-oriented and goal-focused
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: $45,000 annually
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Location: In-office - Surrey, BC
