They find genuine satisfaction in seeing a PR package leave the studio perfectly wrapped, labelled and tracked. They love events, a well-crafted pitch and ideas that think outside the box. Life at MATINÉE STUDIO We’re a bilingual boutique PR and comms agency. For the past six years, we’ve been helping beauty, lifestyle, wellness, food & beverage and design brands make their mark with media and content creators across Canada. L’OCCITANE en Provence, Paula’s Choice, Summer Fridays, DESIGNME, Dieux and Fable & Mane are among the brands we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Between our Montreal studio and our remote Toronto team, we work hard, laugh a lot and care about the brands we represent. We love curious minds, unconventional ideas, thought-provoking conversations and work done exceptionally well. We believe ambition, high standards and kindness should go hand in hand. MATINÉE is where brands, media and creators come together. Your role You’re the person who turns ideas into action and makes sure every detail counts. Products are in good hands, media coverage is captured and documented, lists are spotless and no follow-up falls through the cracks. You’re organized, curious and resourceful. You know how to juggle multiple accounts, anticipate next steps and take initiative. You double-check the details, take pride in a job well done and understand that, in our industry, it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. At MATINÉE, you won’t be working behind the scenes forever. You’ll contribute to real client projects from day one, collaborate closely with an experienced team and have the opportunity to grow your expertise. What your day-to-day might look like You’ve got your eyes on everything. Your morning starts with monitoring. You keep an eye on digital publications, magazines and social media, identify relevant coverage and turn it into clear, accurate and beautifully presented reports. You also know how to spot a trend, conversation or opportunity worth bringing to the team’s attention. You build relationships. You stay connected with journalists, content creators and tastemakers. You keep our media lists and press kits up to date, help identify story angles and media opportunities, and contribute to pitching and media follow-ups. You conduct creator outreach, track collaborations through our platforms and respond to incoming requests with professionalism and care. You make the magic happen, one package at a time. Seeding, mailers, inventory, packaging and shipments across Canada and the United States: you coordinate every step to make sure the right products reach the right people at the right time. Nothing gets overlooked, from the first package to the final follow-up. You help create memorable experiences. From product launches to media and creator events, you’re involved in bringing experiences to life. Venue and vendor research, guest lists, invitations, RSVP management, logistics and on-site guest experience: you support the team in making sure every detail is considered, every guest feels welcome and every event lives up to our ambitions. You have a way with words. You contribute to writing, translating and adapting content in both French and English, for MATINÉE and our clients. You support the team in developing press materials, communications and presentations and contribute to MATINÉE STUDIO’s social media presence. You bring the studio to life. You welcome clients, journalists and guests, take notes during client calls and follow through on action items. You keep expense tracking organized and lend a hand with events, launches and brand experiences. And because we’re a small team, you’re also part of what makes the studio tick. Around here, everyone pitches in. Bonus points A genuine curiosity for media, culture and emerging trends. Experience in beauty, lifestyle or wellness. A network that extends beyond Montreal to Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary. And that rare ability to manage multiple clients, know the difference between what’s urgent and what’s important, and never miss a detail. We also love people who ask thoughtful questions, bring solutions to the table and don’t always wait to be told what to do. What we offer A competitive salary based on your experience. A flexible hybrid work model: 3 days in-studio, 2 days remote. Additional time off beyond statutory holidays. Access to industry events and brand experiences. A creative studio in the heart of Montreal. Culturally relevant projects with inspiring brands. A passionate, collaborative and genuinely kind team. Real opportunities to learn, contribute and grow. How to apply Send your CV via Isarta with the subject line “Team MATINÉE – PR Coordinator”.
