Summary:

The Inside Sales Specialist is essential to the efficient operation of the sales process for Rapid3D's technology products, services, and maintenance & support contracts. These offerings include products such as 3D scanners and metrology products, reverse engineering and inspection software, maintenance and calibration contracts, and technical services. Services include onsite 3D scanning and measurement, scan to CAD modeling, reverse engineering, design, inspection, and training. This role is heavily focused on administrative tasks and requires a strong understanding of sales processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to reprioritize tasks throughout the day. The Inside Sales Specialist will work directly with the Sales team and be responsible for preparing and maintaining sales documentation, coordinating sales activities, and providing administrative support. While some of our roles offer flexibility, this position is based onsite in our Calgary, AB office due to the nature of the collaborative work.

The role has standard working hours, 40 hours/week Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing and maintaining sales documents, including quotes, proposals, and client documents for technology sales, support contracts, and technical services. Must be able to understand technical quoting processes and overall technical deliverables for 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and inspection projects.
  • Facilitate meetings with engineering staff for complex projects and provide meeting notes when necessary.
  • Coordinate between our OEMs, our internal team, and customers, acting as a liaison for calibration, maintenance, support, etc.
  • Update and maintain customer records and sales data in CRM systems.
  • Generate sales reports and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Assist with coordinating sales meetings, product demonstrations, and other sales events.
  • Assist with sales-related correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and online chat inquiries. This may include providing basic information about products, applications, pricing, and availability.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction to help build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Communicate important feedback from customers internally.
  • Help generate content for sales collateral and marketing materials.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in an administrative, sales, or sales support role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience from engineering or manufacturing companies, but any inside sales experience is welcomed.
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma with college or higher education preferred.
  • Adaptibility: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, highly variable, and dynamic environment. The chosen candidate must be able to grasp advanced concepts and communicate them in a clear and concise manner to clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Extremely strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Respond to external and internal requests in a timely manner. Summarize and transcribe meeting and call notes effectively.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and CRM software.
