About the Role
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our team in Vegreville, AB. This is a position for someone who is eager to grow, can operate independently, and wants ownership over real marketing deliverables. You will coordinate paid advertising, social media, content creation, website maintenance, and trade show support. You will report to the Sales & Marketing Manager and work closely with the broader sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Advertising
- Monitor, optimize, and report on paid ad campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram)
- Adjust targeting, creative, and budget allocation based on performance data
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns
Social Media & Content Creation
- Build and maintain a content calendar for organic and paid posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Create and edit photo and video content on-site
- Write captions, respond to comments and messages, and grow audience engagement
Website Maintenance & SEO
- Keep product listings, specs, and photos current on the company website
- Optimize pages for SEO performance, mobile compatibility, and user experience
- Build and manage landing pages for campaigns and promotions
- Analyze traffic and engagement using Google Analytics and act on findings
Creative & Print
- Design digital ads, print flyers, brochures, trade show materials, and product catalogues
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and marketing materials
Trade Shows
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns around trade show events
- Design and coordinate print and digital assets for show displays
- Attend trade shows as required - travel involved
Reporting & Analytics
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on key marketing metrics
- Translate data into clear recommendations and adjust strategies accordingly
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a marketing role
- Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Canva. Adobe Creative Suite is an asset
- Comfortable shooting and editing video and photo content
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and website content management (WordPress or similar)
- Strong written communication - you can write a caption, a subject line, and an ad headline
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects and deadlines
