Position Title: Membership & Marketing Coordinator

Reports To: Executive Director

Employment Type: Full-time (30-35 hours/week) in person.

Wage: $25-27/hour, dependent on experience and education

Position Overview:

The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Membership & Marketing Coordinator. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the Chamber while focusing on strengthening member engagement, delivering marketing and communication initiatives, supporting Chamber events, and promoting/ managing the Chamber Perks App. The ideal candidate is organized, community-minded, and confident communicating with members, partners, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office & Administration

  • Welcome and assist visitors; respond to phone and email inquiries and follow up professionally
  • Complete clerical tasks (mail, filing, scanning, office organization/tidying)
  • Coordinate office supplies and assist with basic facility tasks/repairs as directed
  • Process payments for memberships and event registrations (cash/cheque/debit/credit) and forward details as required

Membership Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for membership inquiries and membership sales
  • Support new member onboarding and maintain member profiles in the membership system
  • Manage renewal tracking and follow-up, including calls and recognition processes
  • Conduct annual member profile check-in calls to keep information up to date and understand member needs

Chamber Plan App Support

  • Promote, sell, and support the Chamber Plan App
  • Help members adopt and use the app effectively
  • Track app sales/usage and provide updates/analytics to the Executive Director

Events & Programs

  • Assist with planning and delivery of Chamber events, including registrations, ticketing, payments, and participant engagement
  • Support event logistics and on-site needs as required
  • Availability for some evenings/weekends is required based on event schedules

Communications

  • Support communication between members, partners, and the Chamber via phone, email, and social channels
  • Oversee weekly newsletter production (organize submissions, confirm accuracy, maintain distribution list, ensure strong presentation/visual appeal)
  • Support invoicing for membership and event fees as required

Board & Project Support

  • Attend monthly board meetings
  • Support meeting logistics (agendas/invitations, materials, equipment setup)
  • Record minutes and assist with meeting documentation
  • Contribute to special projects and provide progress updates to the Executive Director

Social Media, Website & Reporting

  • Maintain engaging social media and website content and respond to online inquiries
  • Track website/social performance and provide reports and recommendations
  • Collect and report on key metrics related to membership, events, volunteers, and marketing effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related experience is preferred. Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, marketing, or business development.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable with direct sales.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
