Overview
The Foundation of St. Joseph Seminary and Newman Theological College is seeking an Events and Communications Coordinator to work on events and communications that advance our mission. This vital role leverages effective communications, audience-centred communication, and digital media to plan and promote our events and endeavours, connecting internal and external stakeholders with the core of the Church's work.
Please note this position will include some evening and weekend work, and travel in and out of province.
Key Responsibilities Include
As a self-starter who models the values of Catholic teachings and possesses a strong connection to our mission, you will drive engagement and visibility across the Archdiocese.
- Events and Engagement: Plan, coordinate, and execute Foundation events including an annual golf tournament and donor recognition, donor stewardship and engagement, sponsorship, managing budgets, logistics, timelines, and stakeholder communications. This includes overseeing event communications, outreach, and analyzing performance.
- Communications: Develop and implement a communications plan for the Foundation of St. Joseph Seminary and Newman Theological College initiatives, with a focus on fundraising communications. Research and create engaging content for digital and print platforms, including website, social media, and newsletters.
- Brand Management: Maintain and promote the Foundation brand across all channels, ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity. Enhance the online presence of Foundation initiatives, strengthening engagement and brand recognition.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Events, Communications, or equivalent, undergraduate degree preferred. Experience equivalencies may be considered.
- Minimum three to five years in progressively responsible events or engagement roles.
- Demonstrated experience using event software, Android/iOS, Canva, Meta Business Suite and social media platforms.
